We’re working with a supportive SEN school in Hartlepool who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with SEMH needs. This is a full-time role where relationships matter, patience is everything, and the small wins mean the world.

What your day will look like:

  • Providing calm, consistent 1:1 support to help a pupil feel safe, understood, and ready to learn
  • Supporting emotional regulation, routines, and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to keep approaches joined-up
  • Being that trusted adult who shows up, even on the tricky days
