Every school has pupils who just need someone in their corner — someone who encourages them, builds their confidence and helps them get the most out of every school day. We're working with welcoming and inclusive Secondary Schools across Brent who are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their teams on a full-time basis, 5 days a week. We're ideally looking for candidates with previous experience supporting young people, whether that's within a school, SEND setting, youth work, coaching, care or a similar environment. You'll work closely with teachers, SEND teams and pastoral staff, supporting students both academically and personally throughout the school day. What you'll be doing: • Supporting students in lessons through 1-to-1, small-group and whole-class support • Providing additional support to students with SEND and additional learning needs • Helping students stay focused, engaged and confident in their learning • Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience and independence • Supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development • Working closely with teachers and school staff to create an inclusive learning environment • Building positive relationships with students and helping them reach their potential What we're looking for: • Previous experience working with young people is highly desirable • Experience in schools, SEND, youth work, coaching, care or similar settings is advantageous • A genuine passion for supporting young people and their education • Patient, approachable and able to build strong relationships with students • A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team • Adaptable, proactive and willing to support wherever needed • Available to work full-time, 5 days a week Why work with Protocol Education?
