Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve their potential? We are working with a specialist SEMH school in Thurrock that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join their supportive team from September.
This specialist school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop positive relationships, emotional regulation skills, and independence. The school focuses on understanding each pupil as an individual and providing the right support to help them re-engage with learning and succeed.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and wider support staff to provide personalised support to pupils throughout the school day. You will help young people manage challenges, develop coping strategies, build self-esteem, and access learning in a positive and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, SEND, or challenging behaviour
