About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Hayes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in education, gain hands-on classroom experience, and make a real difference in children’s learning and development.

As a Graduate TA, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small group support, and assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in delivering high-quality lessons

  • Provide one-to-one and small group interventions in literacy and numeracy

  • Assist in teaching phonics, reading, and writing

  • Adapt activities through differentiation to meet pupils’ needs

  • Offer SEND support and strategies for children with additional needs

  • Support EAL learners with language development

  • Help with classroom management and behaviour strategies

  • Prepare and organise learning resources and materials

  • Be a positive role model and promote pupil independence

Requirements
  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

  • Strong understanding of phonics, numeracy, and literacy support

  • Experience with SEND and EAL pupils preferred

  • Excellent communication, empathy, and initiative

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school team

Preferred: Level 3 TA qualification and prior classroom experience
