Some pupils don’t need stricter rules. They need someone who understands what’s going on underneath the behaviour. We’re looking for a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You’ll help them feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn, even on the tougher days.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
  • Helping with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
  • Building trusting, consistent relationships

Experience in education, care, youth work, or mental health support is ideal. You’ll be great for this role if you:

  • Understand that behaviour is communication
  • Can stay calm, even on tough days
  • Want a role where relationships come first
