Protocol Education are working with a welcoming school in Gateshead looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take the knowledge from your degree and apply it in a real school environment while gaining valuable experience working directly with young people.
The Role
You will:
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Help students overcome barriers to learning
- Support emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
- Develop positive relationships with pupils
- Support communication and social development
- Assist with literacy and classroom learning
- Observe pupils and recognise changes in behaviour or engagement
- Work alongside teachers and support staff
- Encourage confidence and independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
