Protocol Education is working with a range of welcoming SEN schools across Gateshead who are looking for Psychology Graduates to join their teams from September.

You’ll work closely with pupils who may have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and additional learning needs, helping them feel confident, supported and ready to learn.

Role Details

  • Location: Gateshead
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Pay: £92.63-£98 per day
  • Role: Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping children with SEND access their learning
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Building trusting relationships with pupils
  • Delivering targeted interventions
  • Working alongside teachers and SENCOs
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and communication
  • Creating a calm and inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
