Passionate about literacy and ready to inspire confident writers? A primary school in Gateshead is seeking an English graduate to deliver targeted literacy interventions across Years 4 to 6. This is a full-time role, 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only.
Your role will include:
- Running guided reading groups
- Supporting extended writing and grammar skills
- Delivering small group SATs preparation sessions
- Monitoring pupil progress
- Supporting classroom learning when needed
You’ll work closely with the English lead to strengthen attainment across KS2.
We’re looking for:
- An English or related degree
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confidence supporting upper KS2 pupils
- Interest in primary teaching
