This could be a lovely next step. Protocol Education is working with a welcoming Primary School in Gateshead to recruit a KS1 Teacher for a long-term role. This is a setting where children are nurtured as individuals and encouraged to grow into confident, resilient learners who are ready for an ever-changing world.
Key responsibilities:
- Teaching a KS1 class with a calm, consistent and nurturing approach
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning
- Creating a safe and inclusive classroom where children feel valued and secure
- Supporting pupils to become independent, resilient learners
- Promoting positive behaviour rooted in respect, honesty and kindness
- Working closely with colleagues to support a strong sense of school community
What we’re looking for:
- UK QTS (or equivalent)
- Experience teaching in KS1
- A nurturing, patient and reflective teaching style
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- A team-focused approach and strong communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
- Two professional child-related references
