A welcoming primary school in Gateshead is looking for a calm, confident Teaching Assistant to support learning across all key stages. This role is ideal for ECTs who want to strengthen behaviour management skills, deepen classroom experience, and work closely with experienced teachers. You will be part of a supportive team that values consistency, strong routines, and positive relationships.
From supporting KS1 phonics to helping KS2 pupils master tricky maths concepts, no two days will be the same.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting teachers across KS1, KS2, and KS3
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to boost progress and confidence
- Using clear behaviour strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Helping pupils feel safe, settled, and ready to learn
- Collaborating with staff to adapt learning and celebrate success
