Protocol Education are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Barking & Dagenham.
The successful candidate will support pupils across different year groups, either working 1:1 with individual pupils or within a small group setting, depending on the needs of the school.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Supporting pupils with their learning, development and engagement
- Helping pupils access the curriculum and build confidence
- Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
- Supporting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Adapting support to meet the individual needs of pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A caring, patient and supportive approach
- Confident working with different year groups
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Passionate about supporting children to reach their potential
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA or similar is desirable
