Protocol Education is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist SEND school in Ferryhill. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about supporting children and young people and are considering a future career in Teaching, Educational Psychology, SEN, Speech and Language Therapy, Youth Work or Social Work. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and build positive relationships in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and additional learning needs
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Helping pupils engage with classroom activities and learning
- Supporting students with communication, social and emotional needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Supporting pupils to achieve their individual learning goals

Previous school or SEND experience is desirable but not essential – full support and training will be provided.
