Flexible Supply Opportunities

Are you an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in local primary schools? We are recruiting experienced EYFS practitioners to work across Nursery and Reception classes in welcoming primary schools throughout Barnet. These supply opportunities offer flexibility while allowing you to make a real difference in the early stages of children's education.

Working Hours

  • Flexible shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available

The Role

As an EYFS practitioner, you will support young children in a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and nursery staff to promote children's learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities.
  • Help implement the daily routine within the Nursery or Reception setting.
  • Act as a Key Person for up to four children, maintaining accurate learning records and ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ensure children are safe, happy and supported throughout the day.
  • Attend staff meetings where required.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures, nursery policies and EYFS standards at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in an Early Years or Nursery setting.
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different school and nursery environments.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
