Protocol Education is currently recruiting experienced Nursery Practitioners to work on a flexible basis across a variety of private and non-private nursery settings throughout Newham and Barking & Dagenham. We partner with a wide range of Early Years settings, including private day nurseries, children’s centres, school-based nurseries and maintained nursery settings, supporting them with reliable and experienced Early Years professionals.
Due to the importance of maintaining the correct child-to-staff ratios, our nursery opportunities require candidates to have the appropriate Early Years qualifications and previous experience working within a nursery environment.

The Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner working through Protocol Education, you will have the opportunity to support a variety of nursery settings across Newham and Barking & Dagenham. Day-to-day opportunities will include:
- Supporting children’s learning, development and individual needs
- Working alongside experienced Early Years teams
- Helping deliver engaging activities linked to the EYFS curriculum
- Supporting children with routines, care needs and personal development
- Building positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
- Providing reliable support to nurseries needing experienced practitioners
- Helping settings maintain safe staffing ratios and high-quality care

Requirements:
- Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE / Early Years qualification preferred)
- Previous nursery experience is essential for these opportunities
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Ability to confidently support children’s development and learning
- Reliable, adaptable and passionate about Early Years education
