We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Support Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3 qualified) to join a friendly and supportive mainstream primary school nursery in Chelmsford from September. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children in their early years development.
The Role
- Support children within the nursery/EYFS setting, working alongside the class teacher and EYFS team
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support, including for children with additional or emerging needs
- Deliver play-based and sensory learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children with routines, transitions, personal care, and emotional regulation
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years
- Has experience working in a nursery or EYFS setting
- Is warm, patient, and nurturing with a good understanding of early child development
- Confident supporting children with varying needs and abilities
- A reliable team player committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
