Enhanced Teaching Assistant in Durham

They’re looking for an Enhanced Teaching Assistant who understands that progress doesn’t always come in big leaps; sometimes it’s a glance, a calm moment, or a breakthrough smile. This is a hands-on, rewarding role supporting pupils with complex needs, both in and out of the classroom. You’ll be part of a close-knit team who genuinely look out for each other and who value support staff as the backbone of the school.

What your days will look like:

• Supporting pupils with profound and severe learning difficulties and autism
• Helping children access learning through sensory-based and personalised approaches
• Providing personal care where required, with dignity and respect always front and centre
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEND team
• Creating a calm, safe, and consistent environment where pupils can thrive
