We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Barking looking for a Maths Teacher who can bring energy, clarity, and a bit of personality to the classroom. Whether you’re experienced or an ECT finding your feet, this is a school where you’ll be supported and valued.
What you’ll be doing:
- Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience
- Planning and delivering lessons that make tricky concepts feel simple and engaging
- Helping students build confidence, not just in maths, but in their own ability
- Marking, assessing, and tracking progress, keeping things purposeful, not overwhelming
- Managing behaviour in a calm, consistent way that keeps learning on track
- Working closely with a supportive department that shares ideas and resources
What we’re looking for:
- UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly
- Someone who can build rapport quickly and keep students engaged
