The predicted salary is between 14 - 14 £ per hour.

We work closely with exciting, vibrant primary schools in BS15 who are looking for enthusiastic classroom support staff to help children feel confident, included, and ready to learn. Many of our pupils speak English as an additional language (EAL), so if you happen to speak another language, that’s a lovely bonus—but not essential.

Your main role will be supporting learning in lessons, helping children settle into school life, and contributing to a positive, structured classroom environment, beginning after Easter holidays. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with young learners, believes in inclusion, and wants to make a meaningful difference in school every day.

Location: BS15

Pay: £14.30 - £14.75 per hour, paid weekly.

A Bit About You

  • Experience supporting children in Key Stage 1, helping with lessons, activities, and classroom routines
  • Confident supporting children across early literacy, numeracy, SEMH, ADHD, or other learning challenges
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent in your approach
  • Skilled in adapting tasks, supporting personalised learning plans, and helping children thrive in the classroom
  • Bonus: ability to speak another language to support children who speak English as an additional language
  • Committed to creating safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environments where young learners can flourish

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, including an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants. We offer free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service. This advert is for a temporary position; in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
