Cover Supervisor – Primary School PE Support
Love sport? Great with kids? Fancy a role where no two days look the same? We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Grays looking for a confident and energetic Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with a background in sports coaching, PE, youth work, or similar hands-on roles who’s ready to bring that same enthusiasm into the classroom.
You’ll mainly support PE lessons and active learning across the school, but flexibility is key. Some days, you may be asked to step into the classroom to supervise lessons, support learning, or keep things running smoothly when teachers are away. Think adaptable, calm under pressure, and ready to jump in where needed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting PE lessons and encouraging pupil participation
- Delivering sports activities and promoting teamwork and confidence
- Supervising classes during teacher absences
- Keeping pupils engaged, focused, and on task
- Supporting behaviour management in a positive and professional way
- Being a reliable extra pair of hands across the school day
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in sports coaching, PE, youth work, or similar roles
- Feels confident leading groups of children
- Can adapt quickly and think on their feet
- Is happy to support both in PE and in the classroom when needed
- Brings positive energy and a team-player attitude
- Has experience working with primary-aged children (preferred but not essential)
