A specialist school in Newham is currently looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The role will include:

  • Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
  • Encouraging emotional regulation and social development

Experience working within education, youth work, social care, or similar settings would be highly beneficial. Personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs is also welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
