Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16 College
Location: Walthamstow, East London
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

We’re looking for a kind, calm, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young adult 1:1 in a post-16 college setting in Walthamstow. If you believe that every learner deserves tailored support and someone in their corner, this one’s for you.

About the role:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a student with additional needs (likely autism and/or SEMH)

Helping them access learning, manage routines, and build independence

Working closely with the SENCO and college staff to keep things consistent, structured, and supportive

Being a steady presence in their day—someone they can trust

Experience supporting students with SEND, ideally in a secondary or post-16 environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
