Responsibilities

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs such as ASC, PMLD, SLD, and behaviours that challenge.
  • Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) for students.
  • Help students with personal care and mobility needs.
  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Required Experience

  • Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions for supporting students with special needs.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of ASC, SEND, PMLD, SLD, and behaviours that challenge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions

This role involves working within a school environment, supporting students with a range of special educational needs. The work may require physical activity and assisting students with personal care needs. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
