A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the BS37 area is looking for dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to provide tailored support for pupils across KS1 and KS2. This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference. You'll build a trusted relationship, helping them face each school day with confidence, consistency and encouragement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
  • Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement.
  • Supporting children with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language and other SEND.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people in a school, SEND, care, youth work, or similar setting.
  • Are passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are patient, reliable, and adaptable.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
