Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Inclusive Hub Mainstream Primary School | KS1 & KS2 | September Start
We are looking to appoint a creative, nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our Inclusive Hub within a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school. This role involves supporting children across KS1 and KS2 who need additional help to access learning and thrive in school.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Use creative and practical strategies to engage children and support learning across the curriculum
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation, communication, and social development
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver inclusive, tailored support
- Help pupils build confidence, independence, and positive relationships
About You
- Is patient, creative, and adaptable, with a passion for inclusive education
- Has experience supporting children in KS1 and/or KS2, ideally within a mainstream setting
- Has an understanding of SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs desirable)
- Remains calm and consistent, even in challenging situations
- Is a proactive team player who builds strong relationships with pupils and staff
