Are you passionate about supporting children with SEND to feel confident, included and successful at school? We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist resource base within a welcoming primary school in North Bristol. This is a full-time contract, offering the opportunity to become a consistent and important part of the children's school experience.
The Role
- Working within the Resource Base, you will support pupils with additional needs through a combination of 1:1 support, small-group activities and personalised learning.
- You will work closely with teaching and support staff to:
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Support children's communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs
- Support pupils to access learning and participate in wider school life
- Provide a calm, consistent and nurturing approach
- Celebrate progress and achievements, however big or small
