The role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to primary school pupils in accordance with the national curriculum. The primary teacher plans, prepares and delivers engaging lessons that meet the educational and developmental needs of children. Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons across the primary curriculum that engage and motivate pupils.
  • Assess and monitor pupils’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback to pupils to enhance their learning.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised within England.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.

Education

  • Degree in Education or a related subject is highly desirable.

Experience

  • Previous experience of teaching within a primary school setting is preferred.
  • Experience in planning and delivering lessons to children aged 5-11.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for England and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
