We are working closely with supportive primary schools in BS13 who are looking for experienced, fully qualified teachers to lead learning in Year 5 and Year 6, guiding pupils through one of the most important stages of their primary journey. These schools need teachers who can confidently take ownership of upper KS2 classes, provide calm, consistent leadership, and keep learning focused and purposeful, particularly in the lead-up to SATs.

You’ll be trusted to maintain standards, set clear expectations and create a classroom culture where pupils feel supported, motivated and ready to succeed. This is a hands-on teaching role where your subject knowledge, classroom presence and ability to build quick rapport really matter. From securing core skills in maths and English, to preparing pupils for assessments and supporting their transition to secondary school, your impact will be felt straight away.

Placements are carefully matched to your experience and preferences, in schools that genuinely value strong upper KS2 practitioners and treat supply teachers as professionals, not stop-gaps.

Pay benefits:
  • Daily rates from 130 to 150, paid weekly via PAYE
  • Refer an ECT and receive a 250 referral bonus
  • Teach without the Sunday night stress, less admin, fewer meetings and more time doing what you do best
  • Free access to our CPD Academy, including KS2 and assessment-focused training
  • A local Bristol consultant who understands the pressures of Year 6
  • Regular, consistent bookings, with longer-term roles available if you want continuity
What you can expect:
  • Well-led primary schools across Bristol with established upper KS2 teams
  • Flexibility to choose the days and locations that suit your routine
  • Clear handovers, schemes of work and assessment expectations
  • Opportunities to teach across Year 5 and Year 6
  • Respect for your professional judgement and classroom leadership
This role is perfect if you:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have recent UK teaching experience in KS2, ideally Year 5 or Year 6
  • Feel confident teaching core subjects and supporting SATs preparation
  • Can quickly establish routines and maintain high expectations
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Want flexibility without stepping away from your identity as a teacher
What we need to clear you:
  • Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address, for example a driving licence or utility bill
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including childcare if applicable
  • Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years
