Cover Supervisors – South Gloucestershire

ÂŁ95 a day, paid weekly through PAYE

Fancy getting stuck into life in a secondary school without the pressure of planning or teaching? This could be your perfect stepping stone into education. We’re looking for confident, calm, and classroom-ready Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in South Gloucestershire. No teaching experience needed, no subject knowledge required, no last-minute marking marathons. You simply guide classes through the work that’s already been set by the teacher. Nice and straightforward.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Covering a teacher’s timetable for the day
  • Supervising lessons across a mix of subjects
  • Leading form time or registration
  • Keeping the classroom calm, focused, and on track
  • Being the steady, sensible adult in the room

If you’ve ever organised a group of friends, wrangled younger siblings, or held your nerve during a group quiz, you’ve already got the foundations of what schools value most: great behaviour management.

What you don’t need:

  • Teaching qualifications
  • Subject expertise
  • Prior school experience

Seriously, none of that. Just bring confidence, a sense of humour, and the ability to keep teenagers focused when they’d rather talk about literally anything else.

Travel:

You’ll be working at different secondary schools around South Gloucestershire, so being able to drive or reach schools easily by public transport is essential.

Training?

We’ve got you. Not sure if it’s for you? No problem. We run our own Cover Supervisor training, delivered by one of our brilliant consultants. You’ll walk in feeling prepared, supported, and ready for that first “Miss, can we sit anywhere?” moment.

Perfect for:

  • Graduates
  • Career changers
  • Anyone thinking about teaching
  • People who want experience in education before taking the next step

Why join Protocol Education?

  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Free access to our online CPD Academy
