Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants across Bristol. We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including Teaching Assistants, SEN TAs, Support Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Support Workers, and candidates with relevant volunteering experience.
Your experience could include:
- Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant experience.
- Learning Support Assistant experience.
- Support Worker or Care Worker experience.
- Youth Work or mentoring experience.
- Mental Health Support Work.
- Experience supporting children or young people.
- Relevant volunteering within schools, nurseries, charities, or community settings.
- 6+ months of Teaching Assistant experience is also considered.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
- Supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
