Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants across Bristol. We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including Teaching Assistants, SEN TAs, Support Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Support Workers, and candidates with relevant volunteering experience.

Your experience could include:

  • Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant experience.
  • Learning Support Assistant experience.
  • Support Worker or Care Worker experience.
  • Youth Work or mentoring experience.
  • Mental Health Support Work.
  • Experience supporting children or young people.
  • Relevant volunteering within schools, nurseries, charities, or community settings.
  • 6+ months of Teaching Assistant experience is also considered.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
  • Supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
