Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2) in Bristol

We're working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2.

You'll play an important part in helping pupils build confidence, develop independence, and enjoy learning in a supportive classroom environment.

• What you'll be doing
• Support pupils with their learning in both group activities and one-to-one sessions.
• Build positive, trusting relationships that help children feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, encouraging inclusion and positive interactions with their peers.
• Adapt learning activities, alongside the class teacher, to meet individual needs.
• Celebrate progress through encouragement, praise and positive feedback.
• Help pupils develop their social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
• Share regular feedback with teachers on learning, behaviour and progress.
• Follow safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
• Take part in training and professional development to continue growing your skills.

• Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school.

• Hours and flexibility

The role is available on a full-time basis (32.5 hours per week), however applications from candidates looking for two or three full days per week are also welcomed.
