We’re looking for caring, motivated Teaching Assistants to support pupils in SEN specialist schools and separate provisions across Bristol. These settings support children and young people with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
No previous SEN experience? If you’ve worked in youth work, care, sports coaching, psychology, or you’re just someone with bags of patience and empathy, we’d love to hear from you. We’ll give you the training and support to grow your confidence in the classroom.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs to feel safe, understood, and ready to learn
- Helping create a calm, structured, and inclusive environment
- Supporting teachers and SEN staff with tailored learning and behaviour strategies
- A caring, reliable person who enjoys working with young people
- A genuine interest in SEN and specialist education
- Experience in care, youth work, sports, psychology, or similar is a big plus, but not essential
- A DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
