Teaching Assistants – Bristol and Surrounding Areas

Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 15.30 | From £90 per day

Schools across Bristol are looking for Teaching Assistants who can bring patience, positivity and a steady presence to the classroom. Ideally, you’ll have some experience as a TA already, but we know brilliant support skills come from all sorts of backgrounds. Care work, social work, youth groups, mentoring, residential support… if you’ve been there for others before, those skills transfer beautifully into school life.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting students across the day, from morning routines to classroom activities
  • Working with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to keep everything running smoothly
  • Helping students feel safe, included and ready to learn
  • Guiding pupils who might need a bit of extra encouragement or structure
  • Being that calm, reassuring adult who makes school feel manageable

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous TA experience is great, though not essential
  • Backgrounds in care, social work, youth work or similar are highly valued
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Someone who brings empathy, patience and a sense of humour when it counts
  • Reliability, teamwork and a genuine interest in helping young people thrive

Hours and pay:

  • Monday to Friday, usually 8.30 to 15.30
  • Pay from £90 per day, weekly through PAYE
