Primary SEN Learning Support Assistants Needed across Bristol. Make a real difference, one small step at a time. Our Bristol SEN schools are looking for calm, caring and committed Learning Support Assistants who want to support children who need a little extra help to feel safe, confident and ready to learn. If you’re someone who can offer patience, structure and a warm smile on even the trickiest days, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the role:

  • Working with pupils in Primary SEN settings, supporting children with needs such as autism, communication differences, sensory needs, learning delays and social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • 1:1 or small-group support.
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and routines.
  • Using visual aids, sensory tools or creative methods.
  • Supporting communication and confidence.
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists.
  • Celebrating every victory, big or small.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Someone patient, positive and ready to learn.
  • Experience with SEN or children is helpful but not essential.
  • A calm approach to behaviour and emotional support.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Someone who can be consistent, compassionate and reliable.
