Primary SEN Learning Support Assistants Needed across Bristol. Make a real difference, one small step at a time. Our Bristol SEN schools are looking for calm, caring and committed Learning Support Assistants who want to support children who need a little extra help to feel safe, confident and ready to learn. If you’re someone who can offer patience, structure and a warm smile on even the trickiest days, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the role:
- Working with pupils in Primary SEN settings, supporting children with needs such as autism, communication differences, sensory needs, learning delays and social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
- 1:1 or small-group support.
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and routines.
- Using visual aids, sensory tools or creative methods.
- Supporting communication and confidence.
- Working closely with teachers and therapists.
- Celebrating every victory, big or small.
Who we’re looking for:
- Someone patient, positive and ready to learn.
- Experience with SEN or children is helpful but not essential.
- A calm approach to behaviour and emotional support.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Someone who can be consistent, compassionate and reliable.
