Protocol Education is partnering with a primary school in BS5 to recruit a caring, dependable and fully qualified Year 5 Teacher, ready to step in after half-term. We are looking for someone who understands how important the transition through Upper Key Stage 2 really is. Year 5 is a pivotal year, and you will be someone who can guide pupils with calm confidence, consistency and warmth.

You will recognise the balance between challenging children academically and providing reassurance as they develop independence and resilience. In your role, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, building confidence in reading comprehension, writing skills, mathematics and problem-solving.   • Fully qualified and confident teaching in Year 5
  • Calm, patient and nurturing, able to manage a larger, more independent class

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, including literacy, maths, science and foundation subjects

  • Passport
  • Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including childcare where applicable
  • OSPC if you have lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years
