Protocol Education is working closely with nurseries and primary schools in BS11 to find caring, reliable and flexible Early Years Support Staff ready to start after half-term. We’re looking for Nursery Assistants and Learning Support Staff who genuinely love helping little ones feel safe, settled and ready to learn. These roles are ideal for those who bring patience, warmth and consistency, and who understand just how powerful early relationships can be, especially as children return refreshed and ready for a new term.

You’ll mainly be supporting children in EYFS, working one to one or in small groups. Your day-to-day role will focus on helping children feel secure and confident, supporting play-based learning, early communication, phonics foundations, number awareness and daily routines. You’ll model positive behaviour, encourage independence and nurture curiosity through meaningful play.

A Bit About You:
  • Comfortable supporting children aged 2 to 5, with some KS1 exposure
  • Calm, patient and nurturing by nature

What We Need To Clear You:

  • Passport
  • Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including childcare where applicable
  • OSPC if you’ve lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
