SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support

Location: BD4

Start Date: September

Contract: Full-time

Pay: £93–£110 per day

Not every day is easy in this role… but every day matters. We’re looking for a resilient, confident TA to support a pupil with SEMH needs in BD4. This role is for someone who can stay calm when things feel anything but calm, someone who knows behaviour is communication, not just disruption.

The role:

  • 1:1 support with a pupil displaying challenging behaviour
  • Using de-escalation techniques and building trust over time
  • Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Working alongside a strong pastoral and SEN team

You’ll need:

  • Experience with SEMH or challenging behaviour
  • Thick skin, a calm voice, and a good sense of humour
  • The ability to reset and go again, even after a tough moment
