Looking for a role where you can make a real difference every single day? We’re supporting SEN schools and PRUs across Billingham and Stockton, and they’re looking for calm, confident, and compassionate Teaching Assistants who know how to bring out the best in pupils with additional needs.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the steady, reliable presence that helps students feel safe and understood. Expect hands-on support with pupils who have:

  • SEMH needs
  • ADHD
  • Autism
  • Challenging behaviours
  • Barriers to learning that need patience, structure, and a warm approach

No two days look the same in these settings, but one thing is constant, your impact matters.

What we’re looking for

  • Confident and calm when things get busy
  • Punctual and dependable so students get the consistency they need
  • Experienced in SEN settings or PRUs
  • Skilled at building trust with pupils who need a little extra guidance and reassurance
  • Ready to support both 1:1 and small group work as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in SEMH, ASD, ADHD or behaviour support
  • A DBS on the Update Service, or you're happy to apply for one through us
  • A positive, patient attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
