Calling all nursery stars in Bath, this one’s for you. We’re working closely with lovely nurseries and primary schools across BA1 and BA2 who are looking for caring, dependable and flexible Early Years support staff to join their teams. If you’re someone who lights up when a child finally zips their own coat or proudly counts to ten, you’ll feel right at home here.

Whether you’re a Nursery Assistant, Early Years Practitioner or Learning Support pro, these roles are all about those magical first steps in education. We’re looking for people who bring patience, warmth and a calm, reassuring presence, the kind of person children naturally gravitate towards.

You’ll be supporting little learners in EYFS and early Key Stage 1, working one to one or in small groups. Your days will be full of play, exploration and those “look what I can do” moments. From helping children settle into routines, to encouraging early communication, phonics and number skills, you’ll play a big part in building their confidence and curiosity. And yes, there will be paint, glitter and plenty of storytelling along the way.

At Protocol Education, we don’t do one size fits all. We take time to get to know you, what you enjoy, what you’re great at, and how you like to work. Then we match you with settings where you’ll feel comfortable, supported and genuinely valued. Whether you’re after something flexible or more long-term, we’ve got you covered.

If you love helping children grow in confidence, build friendships and feel proud of themselves every single day, this could be such a rewarding next step.

Why choose Protocol Education?

  • Flexible work that fits around your life
  • Competitive daily pay, paid weekly
  • Local Bath placements, less time commuting, more time doing what you love
  • Friendly, supportive consultants who actually listen
  • Simple, easy-to-use booking system
  • ÂŁ50 referral bonus when you recommend a teacher
  • Pay: ÂŁ92 to ÂŁ94 per day

A bit about you:

  • Comfortable supporting children aged 2 to 5, with some KS1 exposure
  • Calm, patient and naturally nurturing
  • Great at building trust with young children and reassuring families
  • Happy to dive into play, routines and care-based tasks
  • An understanding of individual needs, including SEND

What we’ll need to get you started:

  • Passport
  • Two proofs of address, for example driving licence, utility bill or council tax letter
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including childcare or youth work where relevant
  • Overseas police check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years
