Location: Barking

Job Type: SEN TA Permanent, Full-Time hours in a mainstream school

Salary: £83.85 - £110 per day

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to students with medical needs within an educational setting
  • Administering medication and assisting with medical procedures as required
  • Monitoring and documenting students' health conditions and reporting to the appropriate staff
  • Collaborating with teachers and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of students
  • Supporting students with personal care needs and promoting independence

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • Valid First Aid and Manual Handling certifications
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (you can apply for a new one with us if you don’t have this)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare or educational setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of common medical conditions in children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
