We are working with a fantastic specialist SEND school in Grays that is looking to appoint a caring and dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join their team immediately. The school supports pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), with many students also having a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Students benefit from a highly structured and supportive environment where communication, independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing are at the heart of daily learning. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to help pupils access the curriculum, develop communication skills, and build confidence both academically and socially. You may provide support on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, using strategies tailored to each student's individual learning needs.
