The role:
- Teaching engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering a well-sequenced curriculum with strong departmental support
- Creating a positive, structured classroom environment
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching where needed
- Working collaboratively within the English department and wider school team
There may be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
What we're looking for:
- UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
- A calm, consistent approach to behaviour management
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
- ECTs are very welcome to apply. Support and mentoring will be available.
