We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Pastoral / Behaviour Support staff to work within secondary schools across Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, Behaviour Mentors, youth workers, graduates, or individuals looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

The Role

As a Pastoral / Behaviour Support professional, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, and helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • Building positive relationships that encourage engagement and personal development
  • Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and families to support student progress
  • Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions where appropriate
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential
  • Monitoring attendance, wellbeing and behaviour where required
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral or support setting
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, resilient and proactive approach
  • Confidence supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider pastoral team
