If you're patient, compassionate and love seeing children grow in confidence, this could be the role for you. We're looking for a caring 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil who needs additional support to thrive in school. You'll play a vital role in helping them feel safe, included and ready to learn.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language and other SEND
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
We're looking for candidates with:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- A calm, patient and supportive approach
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with SEN (school-based or otherwise)
- A willingness to learn and adapt
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
