We're looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Partner to join a welcoming primary school in Patchway, providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a genuinely rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be helping a child build confidence, overcome barriers to learning and celebrate those brilliant little wins that make all the difference.
What you'll be doing:
- Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you'll provide tailored 1:1 support to help your pupil access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and feel confident in the classroom.
- You'll adapt activities where needed, encourage independence and be a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Has experience working within a primary school or educational setting, this is highly desirable.
- Is patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with children.
- Can remain calm, adaptable and encouraging, even on challenging days.
- Holds an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
- Can provide 24 months of references as part of the compliance process.
