An Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Class Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive and well-resourced school known for its strong leadership, high expectations, and commitment to pupil success.
The Role
- Take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging and effective lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum expectations.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil development and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school’s ethos and values.
The Ideal Candidate
- Will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience desirable but not essential).
- Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching practice.
- Be confident in managing a classroom and maintaining high standards of behaviour.
- Show a passion for teaching and improving outcomes for all learners.
