Looking to make a real difference at a crucial stage in a child’s development? We are recruiting a full-time Year 2 Teacher for a supportive primary school in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong KS1 practitioner.
About the role:
- Leading a Year 2 class, supporting pupils as they approach the end of Key Stage 1.
- Delivering engaging phonics, reading, writing, and maths lessons.
- Supporting pupils towards expected standards.
- Differentiating teaching to meet all abilities.
- Creating a positive and structured classroom.
- Tracking and assessing pupil progress.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience within KS1.
- Strong phonics knowledge.
- A patient and encouraging teaching style.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
