Looking to make a real difference at a crucial stage in a child’s development? We are recruiting a full-time Year 2 Teacher for a supportive primary school in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong KS1 practitioner.

About the role:

  • Leading a Year 2 class, supporting pupils as they approach the end of Key Stage 1.
  • Delivering engaging phonics, reading, writing, and maths lessons.
  • Supporting pupils towards expected standards.
  • Differentiating teaching to meet all abilities.
  • Creating a positive and structured classroom.
  • Tracking and assessing pupil progress.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within KS1.
  • Strong phonics knowledge.
  • A patient and encouraging teaching style.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm.
