The Role as a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

• Support the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years.
• Deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress and achievements.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Support children's personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare standards at all times.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for ratio-compliant positions, applicants must hold one of the following full and relevant Early Years qualifications recognised by the Department for Education (DfE):

• NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Childcare and Education
• Level 2 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
• Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification

Level 3 Qualifications:

• NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
• Level 3 Diploma for Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
• NVQ Level 3 Children's Care, Learning and Development
• BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development
• Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
• Level 3 Children's Play, Learning and Development
• Higher-Level Qualifications
• Foundation Degree in Early Years
• BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies
• BA (Hons) Early Years Education
• Early Childhood Education Degree
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)

Applicants holding overseas qualifications may also be considered where their qualification is recognised by the DfE as full and relevant.

Desirable Requirements:

• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Safeguarding Training
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
