We have immediate start roles available now, alongside long‑term opportunities beginning in September at the same schools. This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates, aspiring teachers, ECTs looking to build confidence in the classroom, or anyone with experience working with young people.
What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent and deliver pre‑planned lessons across KS3 and KS4. You won’t be expected to plan lessons or mark work; your role is to keep students engaged, manage behaviour positively, and make sure learning continues smoothly throughout the day. It’s a brilliant way to gain classroom experience, build confidence and get your foot in the door with fantastic schools.
The Schools
The schools we work with across Wolverhampton are welcoming, well‑organised, and genuinely supportive of their staff. You’ll be joining environments where behaviour systems are clear, leadership teams are approachable, and staff wellbeing matters. Whether you’re looking for a stepping stone into teaching or a long‑term role in education, there are opportunities here to grow.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with young people, in schools or other settings
- Is confident managing a classroom environment
- Can build positive relationships with students and staff
- Remains calm, adaptable and professional
- Has strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Is considering a future career in teaching or education
Great for ECTs and Aspiring Teachers
If you’re completing teacher training, considering a PGCE, or wanting to gain more classroom experience before your next step, Cover Supervisor work is a brilliant way to build confidence and develop behaviour management skills in a supportive setting. You’ll quickly learn what works in the classroom and gain experience across different subjects and year groups.
