Protocol Education is working with a well-regarded school in NW3 to recruit an experienced School HR Officer on a part-time basis. You will work three days per week, with flexibility around which days to suit your schedule.

This is a hands‐on role for someone confident in employee relations, HR compliance, and working with senior leaders to ensure smooth HR operations across the school.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and sickness absence
  • Supporting recruitment activity and onboarding new staff
  • Ensuring HR policies are followed and kept up to date
  • Overseeing visa sponsorship and right‐to‐work compliance
  • Managing and supporting the appraisal cycle
  • Assisting with wider HR duties during quieter periods
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for staff and leadership

You'll need:

  • Experience above HR Administrator or Assistant level, ideally in a school or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR best practice
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and staff
  • A calm, professional, and practical approach
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
