Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Welwyn Garden City
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA looking for your next exciting opportunity? We are working with a fantastic primary school in Welwyn Garden City that is looking for a confident, committed and enthusiastic HLTA to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who enjoys taking responsibility, supporting high-quality teaching and making a positive impact across a primary school.
The role:
- Delivering planned lessons and learning activities across the school
- Providing whole-class, small-group and 1:1 support
- Covering classes when required
- Supporting teachers with planning, preparation and assessment
- Helping maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
- Working with pupils across different year groups
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as an HLTA or an experienced TA ready to take the next step
- Is confident leading learning and managing a classroom
- Has strong behaviour management skills
- Is adaptable and able to work across different year groups
- Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Is passionate about helping children achieve and enjoy their learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
